Our Story
I never set out to start a skincare company.
I was a scientist, a researcher by training, and a mom by heart.
When my child was little, winters were hard, and her delicate skin would become dry, cracked, and uncomfortable. I searched for gentle, effective solutions but kept coming up short. That’s when I turned to a plant I’d long admired for its healing power: calendula.
In my kitchen, I began crafting small batches of calendula-infused balms and creams. With my scientific background guiding the formulations, and my mother’s heart inspiring the care behind them, I created something that worked. My child’s skin healed. Friends and family began asking for jars. What started as a simple act of love slowly grew into something bigger.
Today, BotanicalByDesign is rooted in that same philosophy:
- Natural formulations that harness the restorative power of calendula.
- Scientifically crafted to truly repair and protect skin.
- Gentle enough for children, effective enough for adults.
- Sustainable, to protect and enhance the environment for the next generation.
But it’s not just about skin. From the beginning, I wanted this work to give back. That’s why 10% of proceeds go directly to charities, supporting families and communities in need.
For me, skincare isn’t only about looking good. It’s about feeling cared for, restoring what’s been damaged, and sharing that care with others.
Every jar we make carries a little science, a little nature, and a lot of love.
